As part of the 44th Buzet Days, on Friday, September 19th, the second edition of the conference "Women Behind the Wheel – A Story on the Move" was held at POU Augustin Vivoda, organized by the Croatian Automobile and Karting Association (HAKS) and the Women's Commission.
This conference delivered a powerful message: motorsport is not just for men, but a space where women are increasingly finding their place and roles. The program focused on connecting sports and business, breaking stereotypes, and opening up opportunities for a new generation of female drivers, engineers, and sports managers.
Participants emphasized through panels and discussions that motorsport is much more than just driving. It is a world where engineering, logistics, STEM education, communication, and management intersect. More and more women are contributing to the development of the sport in these areas, and their role is becoming increasingly visible and significant. According to HAKS data, about 260 women are actively participating in Croatian auto-moto sports today, and the number is constantly growing.
